Vintage MCM, Vetrata Pattern Lidded Box by Aldo Londi for Bitossi, Italy circa 1950s

Vintage Mid-Century Modern Italian Pottery/Ceramic Box (known as the “cigarette” box) Imported by Rosenthal-Netter. Famous ceramist, artist, and designer Aldo Londi created this Vetrata-patterned lidded box. He is well known in Italy and was the artist director of Bitossi Ceramics for about 50 years. The original label is on the base, as shown in the photo. There are some chips around the edges on the top, as shown in the pictures.
